We are currently recruiting for Forensic DNA Scientists to work in our newly established laboratory in Norwich. This is a permanent position and will mainly involve the following duties:
Receiving samples
Performing PCR/STR analysis on forensic samples
Generating reports on tested samples.
Requirements include the following:
Master's degree or higher in a life Science, preferably forensic science
3-5 years experience working in a forensic laboratory
Knowledge of Molecular biology techniques like DNA extraction, PCR, DNA fingerprinting
Ideally a team-player with eye for detail
excellent communication skills.
Experience with gaining/maintaining ISO 17025 will be advantageous.
