Master Training Programme

Master Training Programme in the Physical Methods for Bioanalysis and Post-Genome Science
Department of Chemistry
Combining the strengths of UMIST and The Victoria University of Manchester.
We have a number of fully-funded awards available for applicants who are UK nationals with at least a 2(ii) Honours degree and fees only awards for EU applicants.

This is a modular, interdisciplinary one-year course designed to train students in the various analytical skills and technologies required for the post-genomic era. Well-qualified graduates from Chemistry, Analytical Science, and Biomolecular Sciences are required to fill the skills shortage anticipated in bioanalytical methods following the major advances in Genome Science. Briefly, the course comprises a wide variety of taught modules in Semesters I and II, followed by a 4 month lab-based research project.
