Water for the World
Water Science and Technology Research Group

The Water Science and Technology Research Group (WatStech) within the School of Applied Sciences at the University of Wolverhampton are looking for a well-organised, motivated person for the role of Co-ordinator for a project called "Water for the World". This project aims to recruit and train volunteers to provide informative talks on water issues to school-children, especially related to problems in developing countries.


This role would involve links to charities such as WaterAid and also to local Junior & Infant schools in Wolverhampton. The co-ordinator needs to have good inter-personal skills and abilities to persuade/motivate volunteers to the project. Experience of work with voluntary organisations and/or fund-raising will be an advantage.

The position is part-time (up to 15 hours per week) for a period of 8 months and would ideally suit someone with promotional and/or organisational experience preferably with an interest in water and environmental issues.
Pro-rata full-time salary would be approx. £15,242 per year.
