For 1 week or longer
The National Trust for Scotland urgently seeks a number of Volunteer Rangers between the remainder of May and June. The property lies off the A708 10 miles NE of Moffat and consists of a spectacular waterfall, an upland loch and some of the highest peaks in the Southern Uplands.
Primary duties will be assisting in providing a 24-hour watch for nesting peregrine falcons and to work with the visiting public in a small, but busy, visitor centre. Other duties could include assisting with upland footpath repairs and biological monitoring. Free time will be available for exploring the local area. Basic accommodation is available. Applicants must be over 18, physically fit and have some basic ornithological and/or botanical knowledge.
