Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior or a related field. He/she will develop field and laboratory studies on the mechanisms and function of visual and vocal signals in great-tailed grackles (Quiscalus mexicanus). Duties will include monitoring breeding behavior in the local campus population as well as using a variety of biochemical, physiological, and immunological techniques to test the costliness of sexual traits. Position to begin 1 September 2004.
