Academic-Related Research Staff Grade Ia: Salary £18,893 - £28,279 P.A.: Applications are invited for two Postdoctoral positions in the research group led by Professor Keith Gull FRS. The laboratory is studying aspects of the biology and pathogenicity of the African trypanosome. The foci of these specific projects are the molecular aspects of antigenic variation and a detailed study of the cytoskeleton and endocytic transport systems in this parasite. The positions are funded by the Wellcome Trust and the Human Frontiers Science Programme Organisation. The group's research is highly integrated and combines a variety of techniques, including molecular and cellular biology, protein biochemistry, light and electron microscopy. The positions are available for three years. Applicants with a suitable qualification in areas of molecular biology, cell biology, molecular parasitology, bioimaging or bioinformatics are encouraged to apply.
