I am writing regarding the EU CARDS Project "Pilot River Basin Plan for Sava River". The project aims to improve water management of the Sava River basin following the EU Water Framework Directive. More specifically the main activities will consist of: Support and Strengthening of the Water Management Institutions in Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia, Execution of one Pilot River Basin Management project following the EU Water Framework Directive in each of the three countries (Vrbas River, Dobra River and Kolubara River)
Institutional Support to the newly established Sava Basin Commission. Eptisa has been shortlisted in a consortium with Arcadis Euroconsult, Mott Mc. Donald, Elektroprojekt (Croatia) and the Hydro-Engineering Institute (Bosnia).
At this stage, I am looking for a Senior Consultant to act as the project Team Leader (being in charge of a Team of Expatriate and Local experts).
The required profile is:
University Degree in Water or Environmental Management More than 15 years of experience in water resources and river basin management Comprehensive knowledge of the Water Framework Directive. Experience in Government Consultations at transboundary level Previous Experience as Team Leader in International Projects, Familiarity with the activities of ICPDR Fluency in English; Knowledge of Serbian-Croatian-Bosnian would be an advantage.
Recent Experience in projects in Eastern Europe, preferably in the Ex-Yugoslavia. Experience with harmonising and testing of the Water Framework Directive. The project will start next September 2004. It lasts for 36 months. It will have main office in Zagreb and secondary offices in Belgrade and Sarajevo.
