The successful applicant will investigate the relationship between acid precipitation, calcium depletion, and avian productivity in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Qualifications: M.S. degree in Zoology, Ecology or related field. Prior experience with Black-capped Chickadees or similar species preferred. Demonstrated ability to work independently and supervise field assistants required. GPA > 3.25, GRE > 1200, and strong quantitative and writing skills required. Stipend of $14,000 per academic year plus benefits, health insurance, tuition remission and summer salary provided. Position available starting Spring or Fall Semester 2005.
