‘The Investigation of Tumour Inhibition of Dendritic Cell Function'
School of Molecular Medical Sciences, Division of Clinical Oncology
A PhD Studentship entitled ‘The Investigation of Tumour Inhibition of Dendritic Cell Function' is available within the Academic Unit of Clinical Oncology based at the Nottingham City Hospital. The aim of this project is to delineate the mechanisms by which tumour cells inhibit IL-12 secretion by dendritic cells. In addition, the project will explore approaches which may reverse this and hence be potential anticancer therapies. A wide range of cell and molecular biology techniques will be used.
Students must hold, or expect to achieve, at least an upper second class degree or a Masters degree in an appropriate subject or equivalent qualification.
This studentship is available for a period of three years from October 2004.
