Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is looking for a long term volunteer to work with a small, friendly Reserves team and assist with the Mid Week Volunteer Team. Would suit either a recent graduate, placement student requiring work experience or someone starting a career in conservation.
A commitment of 6 months to 1 year is desirable, minimum 4 days per week. Extensive training is offered in Reserve Management, conservation and surveying skills plus certification for First Aid at Work, Chainsaw and Brushcutter use. Also use of CMS, RECORDER, GIS computer packages, management plans and livestock handling.
Applicants should have a full driving licence, good communication skills and the ability to work under their own initiative. No accomodation available so would suit local person.
