Responsibilities: Formal teaching duties: Principles of GIS, advanced GIS, and lead GeoTechnology Seminar Workshop. Instruction duties: Deliver a variety of GIS-related workshops offered in classrooms, the field, and via the internet. Work with the GIS director and the Department of Geosciences Chair to coordinate public outreach activities and technology-transfer. Consult with students and offer aid in their studies in geographic information science.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in geology or related field. Teaching experience and expertise in GIS, remote sensing, and GPS techniques, and in-depth knowledge of hardware and software systems are essential. Must have good oral and written communication skills.
