RESEARCH TECHNICIAN needed for Research Branch of the Arizona Game and Fish Department. Limited position based in Tucson, Arizona. Collects field data on wildlife and wildlife habitats (including American Pronghorn and owls). Traps and handles an assortment of wildlife species (owls and bats). Makes presentations at professional meetings and to general audiences. Performs other duties as requires and assigned. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of principles of wildlife management. The candidate will be skilled in collecting and assisting in analyzing forest habitat characteristics, trapping and handling an assortment of wildlife species (especially raptors), back country camping and travel, data management, and possess the ability to communicate research results both written and verbally. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in a wildlife science or a closely related field from an accredited college or university or two years of field experience equivalent to a Wildlife Assistant II.
