The Protect Wild Dolphin Program supports research for scientific projects that involve the conservation of wild dolphin populations in Florida waters. Research projects can involve collection, analysis, and archival of scientific data. A list of topics eligible for support is noted in the 2005 Request for Proposals (RFP), see downloads section, www.protectwilddolphins.org. The award limit per project is $100,000. Collaborative proposals are encouraged. The deadline for receipt of proposals will be 4 April 2005.
Limited support (up to $10,000 per institution) is also available for reimbursement of stranding expenses. The deadline for receipt of reimbursement requests will be 1 December 2005.
