Oregon Coast Aquarium is seeking applications for a mammalogist. The position is responsible for all aspects of the care and training of the Aquarium's marine mammal collection, care of their exhibits, interactions with and presentations to Aquarium visitors. Three years experience with pinnipeds is required and sea otter experience is desirable. Knowledge of and ability to use operant conditioning is required. A degree in biology or zoology related field is required. SCUBA diving certification is required. Knowledge of and ability to use computers and standard, commonly accepted computer programs is required. Ability to work under limited supervision, both independently and in a team environment is essential. Five years public aquarium experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
