Plans for summer!

Dear friends,

I posted a message earlier this month looking for people interested in working
with me on a transect I am planning this August. I filled the first half of
August but still need someone from around the 15th to the 28th. I am flexible
on dates, so if you need to leave earlier than the 28th (or arrive earlier than
the 15th!) that will be fine.

I am doing a survey of plant phenotypic variation (leaf traits & other
functional traits) and leaf herbivory along a North/South transect. The
transect is planned from roughly Mid Quebec to West Virginia this August.

I am looking for a travel companion/research assistant for a part or whole of
my travels. Anyone just starting with an interest in biology can apply, though
any level of skill as a naturalist can be put to good use. The person should be
interested in biology and would enjoy a road trip with a tent for housing and
sponge & bucket showers! - (basically someone who enjoys living outside like
myself). I have arranged for some housing for the second half of the trip.

I can provide all travel expenses and food. This would be a good opportunity
for someone to witness biological variation of Eastern North America and to
sample traits in the field. This would also be a good opportunity for someone
who has not yet nailed down plans for the late summer. An undergraduate with an
interest in biology would work well, especially a naturalist type.

Please email me if you need more details.

Thanks so much,
Marc Bogonovich
