The Institute of Pacific Islands Forestry, Pacific Southwest Research Station, USDA Forest Service, is seeking a tropical forest ecologist to conduct research on native forest restoration and sustainability in Pacific Island landscapes. The Institute provides research and outreach to restore, protect and sustain forests of the Pacific (www.fs.fed.us/psw/programs/ipif ).
The position will be located at the new IPIF Research Center on the campus of the University of Hawaii-Hilo. This is a full time, permanent, position with full health, retirement, and vacation benefits to be made at the GS-12, 13, or14 level depending on qualifications ($54,221-$99,053 + 16.5% COLA). The successful candidate at the GS-13 or GS-14 level will lead the Restoration Ecology research team. Applicants must be US citizens.
