Call for two PhD fellowships at the Cavanilles Institute for Biodiversity and evolutionary Biology, University of Valencia
SYMBIOMICS, A MARIE CURIE INTERNATIONAL TRAINING NETWORK (ITN) ON MOLECULAR ECOLOGY AND EVOLUTION OF BACTERIAL SYMBIONTS
During 2011 the ITN Consortium on Symbiomics (see general information and research groups involved at http://cordis.europa.eu/fetch?CALLER=FP7_PROJ_EN&ACTION=D&DOC=1&CAT=PROJ&RCN=96905) can recruit 14 Early Stage Researches (ESR) to carry out a phD in different Universities and Research Centers belonging to the Consortium. The eligible candidates should have a bachelor degree or diploma obtained in an institution different to the one where the phD will be carried out. The selected students will be contracted by a period of three years under the rights of a Marie Curie Fellow (http://ec.europa.eu/research/mariecurieactions/), which contemplates, among other things, a competitive salary, social security, an allowance for the cost
of living in another country, attendance at conferences, etc.
The University of Valencia, as partner of the Symbiomics consortium, offers two phD positions to work in "Evolutionary genomics and metabolism of bacterial endosymbionts from insects", paying particular attention to a system biology approach. The candidates should have a degree in Biology or related one, as well as a good English level. The selected candidates will be interviewed for a final decision by the phD recruitment committee of the host Institution.
