The Institute of Medical Microbiology (Head: Prof. Dr. D. Schlueter) of the OvG University of Magdeburg (Germany) offers a
Postdoc position in Molecular Immunology
Topic of the project is the analysis of the functional role of
deubiquitinylases (DUBs) in the regulation of immune responses. In these
projects cell type-specific knockout mice for A20, CYLD and other DUBs
will be used. The functional analysis of DUBs will be performed in
murine model of infectious diseases (listeriosis, toxoplasmosis) and
autoimmune disorders (experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis). The
combined in vivo and in vitro experiments include immunological (cell
proliferation assays, cytotoxic T cell assays, FACS, MACS, cell
culture), molecular biological (PCR, siRNA, transfection) and
biochemical (WB, EMSA) techniques. We are a team of immunologists and
microbiologists searching for a highly motivated candidate. Applications
of candidates with a degree in biology, biochemistry, medicine or
veterinary medicine are welcome. Previous publications of the group
include Haroon et al., (2011), J. Immunol. 186: 6521; Hövelmeyer et al.
(2011) Eur. J. Immunol. 41: 595!
