A postdoctoral research position is available immediately to study
relationships between microbial community composition and ecosystem N cycling.
Research will focus on the interactions elevated levels of nitrogen and
belowground microbial community composition. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in
microbial ecology, soil microbiology, biogeochemistry or closely related field
at the time of appointment. Expertise with molecular techniques is required.
Experience with next-generation sequencing and associated bioinformatics
programs is preferred.
The initial appointment period will be for 1 year with the potential of
