Postdoc in Oncology (Sweden)

POST DOC-POSITION, DEPARTMENT OF ONCOLOGY, INSTITUTE OF CLINICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL MEDICINE, UNIVERSITY OF LINKÖPING, SWEDEN

This position can be awarded for up to two years in a group that aims at identifying biomarkers which are related to response to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and survival in colorectal cancer patients. We also work on colon cancer cells in order to understand the mechanisms involved in therapy-induced cell death or resistance. These studies will provide information for selecting patients for more suitable therapies in the future.

We are looking for highly motivated scientists with a strong interest in experimental cancer research and a degree in biology, biochemistry or (molecular) medicine. The position provides the opportunity for considerable innovation in a translational research field at the interface of cell biology, radiation biology, and experimental oncology.

Applicants should have a good knowledge and practical expertise of patient material, current cell and molecular biology techniques and statistical analysis.
