For the continuation of the research project “POMOSANO” Laimburg Research Centre is recruiting a highly motivated
Researcher in Agricultural Sciences (m/f), Code PO04
to conduct research in the field of apple fruit processing.
Job description
Main tasks will include proper sampling of fruits in the germplasm collection, sample preparation, sensorial analysis and the development and application of food processing methods for the preparation of fruit juices.
Qualifications
• MSc in Agricultural Science, Food Science, Food Chemistry or a related discipline with background in fruit processing methods or similar is required.
• A PhD in the cited disciplines is desidered. Experience with apple cultivars and chemical quality analysis of fruit is a plus.
• Knowledge of treatment of large datasets and multivariate analysis is desired.
• Fluent in German and/or Italian, good communication skills in oral and written English.
• Candidates should be highly motivated, able to work independently and posses good team-working skills.
Duration: 24 months
