Research Technician (f/m) - Code 1326/2015/7
The research group “Molecular and Cellular Cognition” of Dr. Dan Ehninger is interested in the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying cognitive impairments associated with neurological disorders and brain aging. To this end, they employ genetic mouse models and in depth behavioral assessment, combined with molecular, physiological and neuroanatomical approaches. Your tasks:
• Genotyping
• Management of our mouse colony
• Purchasing consumables
• Maintaining lab infrastructure
• Glassware preparation
• Waste disposal
• Assistance with experiments.
Your profile:
•Completed training as technical assistant (e.g. BTA/MTA) or similar qualification
• Experience with mouse work
• Competence in molecular biology, biochemistry and other basic lab techniques
• Good organization skills
• Proficiency with standard computer applications
• Good communication skills
• Fluency in English
