A vacancy has arisen to provide maternity cover for the post of Cold-blooded and Spineless Project Coordinator working within the North Pennines AONB Partnership Staff Unit based in Stanhope, Weardale until 30th March 2018 or the day before the return of the substantive post-holder.
Cold-blooded and Spineless is an ambitious and exciting North Pennines AONB Partnership project which aims to record and celebrate invertebrates in the area. This is a five-year Heritage Lottery Funded initiative, running from 2015-2019.
The post holder will co-ordinate the delivery of the Cold-blooded & Spineless project including the promotion of the project, recruitment of participants, facilitation of and support for new groups, delivery of invertebrate identification training and survey events, data management, liaison with project partners, fundraising for small projects and communication of results to the public. The post holder will also manage Cold-blooded & Spineless Community Engagement Contractor(s) to ensure the delivery of an effective invertebrate-themed community arts programme.
Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience of working on biodiversity projects and of organising and co-ordinating workshops and events.
