Six positions are available in SW Missouri. Two positions will be headquartered out of the Sloan Conservation Area near Greenfield, MO. Housing is available for the two Greenfield positions. One position available at each of the following: Wah’Kon Tah Prairie near El Dorado Springs, Talbot Conservation Area near Mt. Vernon, Shawnee Trail CA near Lamar, and Bois D’arc CA near Willard. No housing provided at Wah’Kon Tah, Talbot, Shawnee or Bois D’arc.
During February and March, each technician will bait, trap and radio collar 60 bobwhite quail on their assigned study site. Throughout April-September the radio marked quail will be monitored 5 days per week. Applicants will be entering telemetry data into ArcGIS. Experience with GPS and ArcGIS is preferred, but not required. Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife, Conservation Biology or closely related field is preferred.
Applicants must be available Monday through Friday from January 22 through September 30.
Salary: $9.86/hour, 40 hours/week. These positions are classified as Part Time Hourly, so no benefits are included.
