The successful applicants will have the opportunity to gain experience in bird capture with mist nets, radio telemetry tracking, plant identification, and vegetation sampling. Duties include daily bird tracking, vegetation surveys, and data entry. Training will be provided for all survey and job-related activities. Expected to deal with adverse weather conditions, wind, intense sun, cold, and long days in the field. Lodging is included. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to perform biological field work or prior field experience. 1) Must be able to work long days in adverse weather conditions (cold-hot, wind, snow) 2) Must have knowledge of GPS unit functioning and data input 3) Must possess a strong work ethic and commitment 4) Must possess a proactive attitude as well as team work skills, and will be expected to live in a small camp house with other co-workers. Bachelor’s Degree in wildlife biology or a related field, or experience with birds or radio telemetry is preferred.
