We are currently advertising for an exciting 24-month marine biology postdoctoral position at the Lyell Centre, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK. The job requires expert knowledge in the culture and maintenance of calcifying algae, analysis of their (photo)physiology and skeletal characteristics and field validation. This role will contribute to the Leverhulme Trust funded project “Elucidating the light harvesting strategy of the world’s deepest living marine algae”, working with Dr Heidi Burdett (Lyell Centre, Heriot-Watt University), Profs Graham Turnbull and Ifor Samuel (University of St Andrews) and Dr Tadhg O’Donovan (Heriot-Watt University).
