Our research group "Assimilate Allocation and NMR" investigates growth processes in seeds and specific physiological features like assimilate uptake and storage metabolism in developing seeds. We seek for a motivated person for work in the frame of a new DFG-funded project on maize kernel development.
Your tasks:
•Growth and analysis of maize plants
•Analysis of plant material using qRT-PCR
•Metabolic characterization of plant material
•Analysis of scientific datasets including basic statistics
•Willingness to visit partner labs in US/France
Your qualifications and skills:
•Knowledge in plant molecular physiology and preferentially seed physiology
•Working experience in qRT-PCR, expression profiling, metabolite analysis using LC/MS
•English language
