Clinical Neuroscience group is a multi-disciplinary team of professionals that aims to elucidate the pathophysiological basis of stroke and investigate better preclinical models by assembling collaborative and novel therapeutic tools for stroke patients. Our studies have direct bearing on AIS patients, offer insights into potential therapies (remote ischemic tolerance) and describe new biomarkers for the disease (etiology, risk of recurrence, bad outcome).
The Clinical Neuroscience group leverages resources (clinical research and preclinical models of stroke; Hospital Universitari Arnau de Vilanova and IRBLleida-UdL) to approach scientific questions across the multidimensional commutative discovery-translation-application continuum paradigm.

The candidate will contribute towards building a critical mass of knowledge in Stroke research field and will work in a multidisciplinary team involving clinicians and basic researchers. The candidate is expected to play a strong role in the elaboration of scientific hypothesis, experimental design, experimentation, and presentation/publication of results.

Required experience and qualifications:
* Masters-level degree in Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational biology or related disciplines.
* Previous experience in preclinical models and laboratory techniques is desirable.
* Knowledge of statistical programming environment (R) and programming languages (Python) is a plus.
* Open-mindedness, enthusiastic and the will to collaborate within a team.
* Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
