Natural History Museum Frankfurt (m/f/d)

As head of the museum you are responsible for the development and operation of the museum with 400,000 – 600,000 visitors a year. Furthermore, your tasks include the coordination, development and implementation of our Museum re-design program ‘New Museum’ with its multifaceted components: Overall planning of the design and presentation, coordination and control of the implementation in collaboration with architects, facility management and colleagues from the communication and fundraising departments.
The natural history museum in Frankfurt is an essential part of our communication and knowledge transfer activities. Therefore the development of the museum will be an important contribution to the ‘Science and Society’ program as well as to the research program of Senckenberg.
You are...
• a visionary, innovative and creative personality with the motivation to shape a natural history museum as a showcase of science and research as well as a place for societal dialogue.
• a personality with proven leadership skills and management experience in the museum sector, ideally in the design and implementation of large museum exhibitions
You offer…
• an international network in the field of research and museum activities.
• experience in the successful acquisition of third-party funding.
