Ysios’ Six Month Fellowship

If you have a PhD in life sciences and are passionate about drug development, the Ysios fellowship is a great opportunity to get involved in this process.
Ysios Capital is a venture capital firm focused on biotechnology companies developing innovative therapeutics for unmet medical needs. Since its founding in 2008, Ysios has invested in 25 companies in 8 countries, leading to approval of 8 products by regulatory agencies. These include medical breakthroughs such as the first oncolytic virus ever approved for the treatment of cancer and the first off-the-shelf stem cell therapy for patients with autoimmune disease. While our focus is on European companies, we invest globally to find top science and talent.
We are seeking candidates with a strong scientific background, who are eager to learn about scientific areas outside their core expertise, to apply for a six-month fellowship in our Barcelona office. During the fellowship program, you will prepare overview documents of therapeutic areas, technologies and modalities, in order to identify the next wave of investment opportunities. You will help our team to evaluate scientific data, clinical paradigms, IP and regulatory paths, as well as commercial landscapes. You will also meet the entrepreneurs, discuss with key opinion leaders and get in touch with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:
• PhD in life sciences required; MD will be considered.
• Quick learner that can work in a fast-paced environment.
• Capacity to get up to speed in areas outside core expertise.
• Resourceful team player who loves to help others excel.
• Analytic, organized and with strong communication skills.
• Fluent in English. Spanish a plus.
