The Natural History Museum of Denmark (NHMD)/Statens Naturhistoriske Museum (SNM) and the Department of Computer Science (DIKU) at the University of Copenhagen have announced a joint Full Professor position in Computer Vision for Digital Natural History.The new professor is expected to make a significant contribution to leadership in Computer Vision within the Department of Computer Science and will serve a leading role as Curator of Digital Collections at the Natural History Museum of Denmark. The professor must ensure that Computer Vision research, teaching, and public engagement activities are thriving, and act as a mentor to young researchers.
Outstanding applicants in all areas of Computer Vision will be considered, but research areas of special interest include:
- Theory and application of object recognition
- Machine learning in image analysis
- Mathematical foundation of image analysis
- Technological innovation related to object digitization
