In the Lawniczak Group, which is affiliated with both departments (Tree of Life, Parasites and Microbes), they offer a Samples and Partner relationship manager that would suit someone with strong project management skills (https://jobs.sanger.ac.uk/vacancy/samples-and-partner-relationship-manager-432594.html), a Senior Bioinformatician role (https://jobs.sanger.ac.uk/vacancy/senior-bioinformatician-432868.html) and they are looking for two postdocs, not yet advertised, but would be excited to hear from PhD students nearing completion or postdocs interested in coming to the Sanger. The two projects are 1) using long reads to do population genomics in Anopheles and/or migrating hoverflies and 2) helping to build, operate, and analyse a UK-wide DNA barcoding project to study species diversity and interactions on 200,000 flying insects/year over the next 5 years. Both of these projects have staff, consumables, and sequencing funding for the next 5 years, so would suit postdocs interested in at least a 3 year commitment.
Get in touch with Mara Lawniczak (mara@sanger.ac.uk) if you are interested in any of the roles above.
