Conservation Scientist

Location: Oxford, UK (Flexible)
The Role
To lead on the development of a practical evaluation tool, based on the IUCN Green Status of Species (GSS) framework, to measure species recovery and conservation impacts at the sub-global species range scale. The role will also involve the assessment of a range of species according to the GSS at the global scale across a range of partner conservation organisations to contribute to the IUCN GSS roll out and input into the emerging IUCN processes around these assessments.
The role will report to Durrell’s Conservation Science Manager, working closely with Durrell’s Director of Conservation Knowledge and also the Co-chair of the IUCN GSS Working Group based at University of Oxford from whom they will receive technical supervision and support. The role will also engage with organisational representatives from across the IUCN GSS Partnership.
