Biogeografía, fósiles, estadística, biodiversidad: Varios puestos en el Museo de Historia Natural de Stuttgart

Oferta compartida por Cristina

Junior research group leaders and postdocs (m/f/d)

In the fields of population genetics and molecular biogeography, biostatistics, floristic mapping, mosses, non-native species, insect-plant interactions, insect decline, fossil lagerstätten and sedimentology wanted as part of the research initiative at the Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde Stuttgart.

The Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde Stuttgart (SMNS) with its two locations Museum am Löwentor and Schloss Rosenstein is one of the largest natural history museums in Germany. We are a future-oriented research and educational institution that would like to work as part of the Leibniz Association to solve urgent societal challenges such as the biodiversity crisis. The region of Baden-Württemberg is an excellent model for the study of biodiversity and its change, for which we add value to our unique biological and palaeontological research collections with innovative questions and methods. In addition to the excellent institutional infrastructure, our research also benefits from the integration into an international network and the close cooperation with Leibniz research institutions and other partners. Together with the University of Hohenheim, we operate the Center for Biodiversity and Integrative Taxonomy (KomBioTa).

Within the framework of a research initiative funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and Art, we are further expanding biodiversity and evolution research at the SMNS. We offer an effective, productive research environment with diverse opportunities for collaboration and continuing education, as well as the opportunity to participate in science communication, university teaching, and student mentoring. We are looking for individuals who want to fully realize their potential at a growing research institution with an international reputation.
