Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing environmental organisations and we are seeking to appoint a Peat GIS & Remote Sensing Assistant.The role will involve assisting the GIS & Remote Sensing Officer in project tasks for the Yorkshire Peat Partnership, Pennine PeatLIFE and future projects. The role will also involve working independently and alongside the GIS & Remote Sensing Officer to develop applications to support the restoration and monitoring (e.g. automations, web development).
You will be good at problem solving and experienced in data management, using your skills to provide GIS and geospatial support to other Peat Programme staff. You will also have proven experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and have a good ecological knowledge on peatland habitat.
