I am recruiting a PhD student to join my lab to conduct applied research on climate communication. The PhD student will design and lead a series of social science studies focused on identifying and addressing barriers to engaging diverse audiences in effective climate adaptation in the context of fisheries management. The student and I will work closely together and collaborate with project partners, especially Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
This position would include four years of support, including 12 months of salary (~$30-33k) and covering the costs of tuition, fees, and benefits. The student would be based at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, and start in fall term, on September 25, 2024. My home department, Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Sciences, practices a holistic admissions process and the student will be joining a dynamic, supportive, and interdisciplinary lab (the Human Dimensions Lab).
