Salary: $20,050-$33,690 per annum depending on experience andqualifications plus generous fringe benefits

Palau International Coral Reef Center is seeking a qualified candidate to
fill the role of a Researcher. The qualified individual will assist the
Palau Aquarium team in organizing and conducting workshops, restoration
project, monitoring of out-planted coral colonies, measuring survival and
growth. Able to write reports and publish reviews. The selected candidate
will also be directly involved in a small-scale reef rehabilitation project
and thus will contribute to establishing PICRC as a regional leader for
reef restoration.
This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine
Biology, Ecology, Oceanography, Coastal and Pelagic Fisheries, Fisheries
Management or other related field from an accredited college or
university. Knowledge of marine research and/or related field and some
experience in resource management and conservation is preferred. Field
work is an essential part of a researcher’s duties so applicants must be
able to conduct field work on a regular basis. Able to speak in Palauan or
English.

This position is a 2-year contract funded through the GBRF project titled,
