Dalan Animal Health is a biotech company developing novel solutions to protect beneficial insects and other invertebrates from diseases. Our primary focus in the development of vaccines for honeybees. Dalan Bio is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dalan Animal Health located in Madrid, Spain. We are looking for an enthusiastic, results oriented, dedicated individual to join our team and help us achieve our goals to become the leader in insect health by supporting our research and customer support efforts internationally. We intend to have this process completed by October 2024. The position will be based in Madrid, Spain and will report to the Global Head of Business Development.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for the search, support and management of Dalan trial sites across Europe and Internationally.
- Writes study protocols, SOPs, and other documentation to ensure both research and clinical trials are conducted in compliance with the protocol and applicable regulations.
- Design and perform new protocols to test the clinical efficacy of the vaccine.
- Support and collaborate with the marketing and commercial teams in the creation of marketing materials and technical literature.
- Develop and manage a network of relevant KOLs.
- Assists and support the teams in reporting Pharmacovigilance cases.
- Develop, manage and report adequate customer support studies.
- Train, educate and technically develop the commercial and marketing organization as well as our customers and partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Pay Range
The position has an annual compensation of € 45,000 to € 55,000 depending on experience.
Location
Based in Madrid, Spain. The position requires frequent international travel to support partners, customers, attend internal meetings and international symposium, conferences and beekeepers meetings.
Qualifications & Skills
- B.Sc. with 5 years’ experience, MS with 2 years’ experience or PhD with post-Doc experience in animal health, entomology, agriculture or related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Beekeeping experience required, candidate must be able to handle day-to-day activities associated with beekeeping (opening hives, assessing hive quality, etc.)
- Good understanding of molecular biology techniques such as cloning, PCR, nucleic acid preparation and quantification.
- Ability to prepare protocols, reports and collect and analyze data.
- Valid driver license.
- Proficiency on MS Office.
- Proficient in English as the main language. French will be desirable.
- Driven, curious, enthusiastic and collaborative person with a desire to grow and serve customers.
- Authorized to work in the EU.
