 Job Title: GIS Specialist-Team Lead

Location: Schofield Barracks, Hawaii
Organization: Colorado State University – Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML)

Position Overview:
CEMML is seeking a GIS Specialist-Team Lead to manage tasks supporting the U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii's environmental GIS database and intranet site. The role involves providing GIS and spatial services, including updating and editing GIS data, field data collection with GPS, and map creation and printing. The position is based at Wheeler Army Airfield, located on Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and edit GIS data as needed.
  • Conduct field data collection using GPS.
  • Create and print maps.
  • Ensure GIS data meets all Army data standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience managing geospatial data within the ESRI suite of products or similar.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. by the proposed start date (CEMML will not provide visa sponsorship).
  • Ability to complete a NACI/SF85 and successfully pass a federal background check.
  • Compliance with regulations to obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) and public trust clearance.
  • Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one by the employment start date.
