Job Description
As a Senior Biodiversity Specialist within Mirova’s Sustainable Development Research team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Expertise Development: Build and maintain comprehensive expertise in biodiversity issues, covering both terrestrial and marine environments, and enhance impact analysis and ESG methodologies across various sectors.
- Policy and Roadmap Development: Create and evolve Mirova’s nature and biodiversity policies and impact methodologies in collaboration with internal teams.
- Data Integration: Collaborate with partners to refine the integration of biodiversity data into Mirova’s tools across all asset classes.
- Representation: Act as Mirova’s representative on biodiversity topics in client and institutional settings, and contribute to publications and reports like the TNFD and LEC 29.
- Advocacy and Partnerships: Promote biodiversity initiatives through collaborative networks such as TNFD, FfB, SBTN, and more.
- Internal and External Collaboration: Work closely within Mirova’s expert community, fostering excellence, impact, and collective action.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Higher education with at least 5 years in biodiversity or sustainable development roles. Experience in responsible investing, ESG analysis, or sustainable consulting is ideal.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with ESG standards and sustainable development frameworks such as SDGs, CSRD, and TNFD; proficiency in research, analysis, and project management.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex topics clearly.
- Language: Proficiency in English (C1 level).
