🎉 We are excited to announce that we will be relaunching our Climate Committee next year and expanding our team of experts! 🎉
Ecologi’s Climate Committee was founded in 2021 to bring together industry experts and research professionals who sit outside of our business to bring specialist knowledge and support to maximise our climate impact. The committee supports the Impact team through providing expert knowledge across specialist fields which help shape the future of the team, and the wider business. Now we are looking for passionate academics, researchers and policy experts to join us in driving global climate action through this paid advisory role.
Our Climate Committee is organised into three dedicated working groups: Nature, Climate, and Policy.
Working Groups:
Nature
This working group will focus on research and key developments in habitat and landscape restoration, forest conservation and afforestation, and ocean science, among other critical topics. The insights generated from this working group will play a pivotal role in guiding our new Impact Funds and the projects we partner with, whilst also shaping the strategic future of Ecologi.
Requirements: To be part of this Working Group you will have extensive experience in research related to ecosystems, forests, biodiversity, ecology, or other relevant subject.
Climate
This working group will focus on research and developments in carbon dioxide removal, carbon markets, and decarbonisation across society. The insights generated from this working group will play a pivotal role in guiding our client advisory services, as well as our new Impact Funds which contribute to carbon dioxide removal scale-up, while also shaping the strategic future of Ecologi.
Requirements: To be part of this Working Group you will have extensive experience related to climate change, carbon removal and avoidance technologies, carbon markets, decarbonisation or other critical areas of climate science.
Policy
This working group will focus on research and developments in environmental policy, the Sustainable Development Goals, MEAs and corporate sustainability standards such as the SBTi and ISO. The insights generated from this working group will be pivotal in guiding our internal strategy and our client advisory services.
Requirements: To be part of this Working Group you will have experience in environmental policy, international frameworks and/or corporate sustainability standards.
This is a paid role with the opportunity to occasionally undertake additional (also paid) project-specific work. You must be able to commit to attending a minimum of one quarterly 1.5-hour meeting.
