Main Description: BeZero Carbon is expanding their Ratings team throughout 2025. As a Ratings Analyst, you will analyze carbon projects worldwide, from forestry initiatives in the Amazon to Direct Air Capture projects in Iceland. The role involves researching the science and evidence behind different types of carbon projects, building their evidence database, and developing ratings and content streams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research offset projects in Carbon Markets, collaborating with experts in Climate & Earth Sciences
- Expand and develop ratings & analytical models for project sectors
- Curate literature database
- Write research reports on market trends and dynamics
- Attend conferences and events as BeZero Carbon representative
- Work towards monthly goals through delivery of ratings, reviews and content
Requirements: Essential:
- Academic background in environmental sciences (Earth/Natural/Climate Sciences) or climate technology solutions (Engineering/Renewable Energy/Carbon Removals)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid research background and analytical skills
- Comfortable speaking with high-level clients and external stakeholders
- Strong understanding of voluntary carbon market and project risks
