Position Overview: Research Assistant position supporting development of policy tracker module for illegal gold mining prevention across the Amazon. Two-year project funded by Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and analyze laws and regulations from 9 Amazonian countries
- Support policy tracker module development and maintenance
- Coordinate with in-country partners
- Prepare reports and policy briefs
- Assist in organizing workshops and meetings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in public policy, environmental science, political science or related
- 2+ years experience in program/project implementation
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish/Portuguese
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Experience in policy analysis
- Knowledge of Amazon regional dynamics preferred
