Technical Analyst – Biodiversity & Finance
Location: Remote (EU/UK time zone only)
Organization: Finance for Biodiversity (FfB) Foundation
Contract Type: Initial one-year fixed-term contract (32-40 hours/week), with possibility of extension
Main Description: Join the growing Finance for Biodiversity (FfB) Foundation Team to support financial institutions in halting and reversing nature loss this decade. You will contribute to Impact Assessment, Engagement with Companies, and Target Setting working groups, while supporting analyses and research for the Finance for Nature Positive programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and organize working group meetings and external webinars
- Provide technical support and project management assistance for working groups
- Develop technical materials, analyses, and sector-specific research
- Contribute to biodiversity impact measurement approaches for the financial sector
- Conduct research on emerging frameworks, methodologies, tools, and datasets
Requirements: Essential:
- Master's degree (ongoing or completed) in relevant environmental field
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Understanding of biodiversity-finance sector interplay
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in remote settings
- Structured, results-focused with self-starting attitude
Desirable:
- Experience in finance sector
- Prior experience with biodiversity landscape
- Knowledge of key stakeholders and challenges in the field
