Research internship on bird fitness and reproductive investment markers (IREC, Ciudad Real, Spain)
Training program “Markers of physical condition and reproductive investment in birds” (JAEINT25_EX_1419)
Responsibilities:
The training project aims to train undergraduate and master's students in the development and implementation of various markers of reproductive investment and physiological state in birds. Activities include:

Blood leukocyte counts
-
Eggshell color and characteristic measurements
-
Quantitative and qualitative analysis of behavioral patterns based on video recordings
-
Participation in laboratory analyses
-
Participation in fieldwork at a black starling breeding colony in the Sierra de Madrid (if scholarship dates allow, with accommodation provided at El Ventorrillo Biological Station)
Requirements:
-
Undergraduate students who have completed at least 180 ECTS of a 240 ECTS degree (or 240 ECTS of a 300 ECTS degree) OR students enrolled in a Master's degree during 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 academic years.

Students of the MUIBARC (2024–2025) or MUIBAF (2025–2026) Master's Degrees are eligible.

Minimum average grade: 7.5/10.
